Police log

THURSDAY

-9:19 p.m.: burglary. Brooke Young, 31, 526 Michigan St., reported someone took a 50 inch flat screen television from her residence.

-8:44 p.m.: having weapons while under disability. Toby Gilbert, 43, 215 N. Pomeroy Ave., reported his roommate has weapons while under disability. A sawed off shotgun was recovered from the premises.

-8:40 p.m.: theft. Daniel Tamplin, 27, 600 N. Main Ave., reported a premium outside micrometer set with carbide tip was taken from his residence.

Accidents

No one was cited after an accident on Thursday at 3:46 p.m.

Curtis Spears, 41, of Vinton, Louisiana, was operating an oversized load tractor trailer northbound off Interstate 75, turning left onto Michigan Street. A vehicle stopped at the red traffic light east bound on Michigan Street was stopped past the stop line on the road. The vehicle attempted to back up twice, but was still over the stop line. As Spears turned, he struck the vehicle. No citations were issues because of unknown vehicle in error and conflicting accounts.

The driver of the other vehicle was Geraldine Yantis, 57, 1163 Fairoaks Drive.

• No one was cited after an accident on Thursday at 11:38 a.m.

Larry Broughton, 54, 558 Knoop-Johnston Road, was 880 East Court Street when he had to back up because of the gate closing at the water treatment plant.

When he did so, he struck a vehicle that was behind him. There was no damage to Broughton’s vehicle and minor damage to the other. The drive of the other vehicle was James Lopez, 33, of Hunstville.

FRIDAY

-6:27 to 6:35 a.m.: Medics responded to two calls.

THURSDAY

-11:20 p.m.: Fire crews responded to the 3000 block of Cisco Road for an outside rubbish fire.

-6:14 p.m.: Medics responded to a call.

-11:56 a.m.: Crews responded to the 3000 block of 7 Point Court for a carbon monoxide investigation.

-9:20 to 11:53 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.
