Narcotics search warrant yields 2 arrests

SIDNEY — On Friday April 29, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m. investigators and officers from the Sidney and Piqua Police Departments executed a narcotics search warrant at 523 ½ N. Miami Ave. in Sidney, according to a press release.

During the search, narcotics believed to be heroin, drug paraphernalia, cash, and stolen property were recovered from the residence. Arrested and incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail are Andrew Turner, 33 and April Rowe, 31, both of the Miami Street address.

Turner was charged with one count of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth-degree and one count of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth-degree. Rowe was charged with one count of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth-degree and one count of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth-degree.

Information resulting in this warrant was derived in part from concerned citizens. All citizens of Sidney are asked that if they have any information about drug activity to contact the Sidney Police Narcotics Unit at 937-498-2353 or Crime Stoppers at 937-492-8477 (TIPS).
