SIDNEY — A Sidney man was arrested Wednesday morning by Sidney Police officers.

According to a press release, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m. investigators and officers from the Sidney Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at 122 W. North St., Sidney Ohio.

Recovered during the search were marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in cash. As a result of the search warrant, police arrested Jeffrey S. Richmond, age 43, who resides at the residence. He is charged with one count of drug trafficking, a felony of the fifth degree. As a result of the charge he was incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail.

This warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney. Information resulting in this warrant was derived in part from concerned citizens.
