Search warrant leads to arrest

SIDNEY — A Sidney man was arrested following the execution of a narcotics search warrant Tuesday morning.

Jerad K. Palmer, 38, of 415 Riverside Drive, was charged with one count of drug trafficking, a felony of the 4th degree. He is currently incarcerated at the Shelby County Jail.

According to Sidney Police Department, a search warrant was served Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. by investigators and officers from the Sidney Police and Piqua Police departments at Palmer’s residence.

During the search, suspected meth, marijuana residue and other paraphernalia were discovered.

The warrant execution is a continuing effort by the Sidney Police Department to combat drug abuse and drug trafficking in Sidney.
