SIDNEY – Within an hour of being revived with four doses of Narcan in the parking lot of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, a woman was arrested for the offense and remains incarcerated.

At 10:30 a.m., deputies were advised by a jail visitor that a woman was unconscious in her vehicle in the parking lot. Upon attempting to awaken the woman, officials discovered she had overdosed on drugs and administered the lifesaving drug, according to Sheriff John Lenhart.

Kimberly Lynn Hicks, 27, at large, was transported to Wilson Health where she was treated. Following her release by the hospital, she was transported to jail being charged with possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.

Lenhart reported Hicks had visited the jail to deposit money into another inmate’s account.
