MONDAY

-5:58 p.m.: warrant. Walker Mustain, 19, at large, was arrested on a Logan County warrant.

-2:48 p.m.: unruly juvenile. A juvenile was arrested for being unruly.

-11:50 a.m.: theft. Phyllis McClellan, 62, 815 Arrowhead Drive., Apt. L, reported someone took her grey walker, valued at $85, from the Kroger’s parking lot on Michigan Street when it was accidentally left behind after she got into a vehicle.

-10:52 a.m.: criminal mischief. Thomas Johnson, 55, 128 ½ N. Pomeroy Ave., reported two windows were broken at the residence. Damage was set at $100.

-10:08 a.m.: panhandling restrictions. Thomas Johnson, 55, 128 ½ Pomeroy Ave., was arrested for panhandling restrictions and prohibitions.

-8:03 a.m.: burglary. Randall Millette, 36, 229 S. Franklin Ave., reported a past theft of a black 65-inch Hisnse 4K flat screen TV, valued at $951.31.

SUNDAY

-8:36 p.m.: drug abuse. Steven Cotterman, 22, 140 Brooklyn Ave., was arrested for possessing drug paraphernalia; and, Casey Erhaugh, 22, 140 Brooklyn Ave., and Michael McKinney, 21, 231 ½ W. Poplar St., Apt. B, were both arrested for drug abuse.

-7:51 p.m.: dogs running at large. James A. Castle, 20, 412 ½ N. Walnut Ave., was served a summons for dogs and other animals running at large.

-7:18 p.m.: domestic violence. A 16-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence.

-6:19 p.m.: telephone harassment. Police are investigating a telephone harassment complaint made by Ashley Stambaugh, 26, of Sidney.

-2:41 p.m.: warrant. Joanna Griesdorn, 25, 206 Doorley Road, Apt. E, was arrested on a warrant.

SATURDAY

-11:27 p.m.: driving under the influence. Noah Fidler, 18, 207 Lunar St., was arrested for OVI and drug abuse.

-6:38 p.m.: theft. Jodi New, 33, 420 S. Ohio Ave., reported the theft of 20-inch red Schwinn bicycle, valued at $250, and an 18-inch green bicycle, valued at $79, from the residence.

-4:56 p.m.: found property. A handicap placard issued to John Messer, 58, of Dayton, was found at Speedway on Michigan Street and was turned into the police department.

-11:06 a.m.: theft. David Schutte, 37, 600 N. Main Ave., reported the theft of two HP laptop computers, valued at $200, an iPad, valued at $100, a Sishia tablet, valued at $100, and a Phillips TV, valued at $40, from his residence.

FRIDAY

-8:09 p.m.: lost property. Roy E. Elder, Jr., 41, 119 ½ W. Dallas St., reported he lost his Quad-Helo drone, valued at $1,000, in the Sidney area.

-3:39 p.m.: domestic violence. A 15-year-old male was arrested for domestic violence.

-1:06 p.m.: theft. Heather Glass, 36, of Anna, reported the past theft of $236 while at North Highland Avenue and Michigan Street, Sidney.

-9:57 a.m.: theft. Police are investigating the report made by John Knasel, 53, 301 ½ S. Main Ave., of the theft of his MasterCard credit card, a pair of shoes, valued at $100, and two cellphones, valued at $100 from his residence.

-7:04 a.m.: theft. Barbara Bollinger, 72, 1229 Morris Ave., reported someone stole $200 and two credit cards from her bedroom without consent.

-2:26 a.m.: OVI. Nathan Thomas, 41, of Piqua, was arrested for OVI.

Oct. 3

-8:05 p.m.: domestic violence. Thomas Castle, 60, 119 W. Dallas St., was arrested for domestic violence.

Crashes

Dustin Beard, 34, 219 Brookburn, was arrested for OVI and refusal breath with prior DUI and cited with operation without control after a one-vehicle crash on Saturday at 2:42 p.m.

Beard was traveling southbound on Port Jefferson Road when he ran off the roadway to the right, struck a fire hydrant and a street sign and then veered back onto the roadway. Beard’s vehicle then went of the roadway again to the right and struck a second fire hydrant before he left the scene. He was located by police a couple of streets away.

• Bryan Mangus, 20, of Jackson Center, was cited with continuous lanes of travel after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 12:37 p.m.

Mangus was traveling southbound on North Ohio Avenue in the right lane and when he moved into the left lane, he struck the southbound vehicle in the left lane that was driven by Diann Holthaus, 42, 17403 E. Miami Shelby Road.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 5:56 p.m.

Jaqueline Lawson, 61, 630 Foraker Ave., pulled into the alley next to her home on Foraker Avenue. She told police she had pulled into the alley and was going to back out onto the street when she was rear-ended by the vehicle driven by Alyssa Davis, 17, of Sidney.

Davis told police Lawson pulled in front of her into the alley. Davis said she pulled in behind Lawson, then Lawson’s vehicle stopped and backed up into her.

Due to conflicting stories and no independent witnesses, police did not issue a citation.

• No one was cited after a crash involving a car and a bicycle on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7:19 p.m.

Donald Price, 70, 510 Buckeye Ave., was on a bicycle and had just exited the east-west alley next to 314 Oak Ave. when he failed to yield to a northbound car on Oak Avenue and struck the front passenger side corner of the car.

The car was driven by Emily Tolbert, 18, 2436 Broadway Ave.

Price was transported by Sidney Fire to Wilson Health.

• Joe Binns, 24, of Williamsport, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 1:06 p.m.

Binns was traveling eastbound on Michigan Street approaching the intersection of Kuther Road when he struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him in the turn lane that was stopped for traffic and was driven by Kathryn Pleiman, 57, of Fort Loramie. Binns then continued eastbound on Michigan Street and sideswiped another stopped vehicle in front of him that was driven by Gerardo Ruiz, 56, of Laredo, Texas.

-6:26 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

-8:24 a.m.: vehicle fire. Firefighters responded to the report of a possible vehicle fire.

-12:33 a.m. to 5:19 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to six calls.

-12:39 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters conducted an open burn investigation.

-12:01 a.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to a dumpster fire.

-5:49 a.m. to 8:57 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to 11 calls.

-7:32 to 7:39 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to two fire alarms calls.

-2:50 p.m.: crash. Medics responded to an automobile crash.
