Holy Angels plans project day

SIDNEY — The Holy Angels Church Outreach Committee will host Wrapped in God’s Love: An Afternoon Lenten Service, Saturday, March 12, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Knights of Columbus hall, 1300 N. Fourth Ave.

The event comprises projects for people of all ages. The projects include making fleece blankets for traumatized children, making dresses and shorts for children in mission-trip countries, making Beads of Courage bags for seriously ill children, making prayer quilts for people in nursing homes, making rosaries and crocheting and knitting prayer shawls.

Participants should take fleece cut to 40 inches square or larger, sewing scissors, elastic and ribbon, sewing machines, knitting needles, crochet hooks or yarn.
