SIDNEY – The location of the free concert by Christian motivational music singer Kathy Troccoli, set for Thursday, has been changed due to high ticket demand. It will now be held at Sidney Middle School.

The concert titled, “Comfort by Candlelight” begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. The school is located at 980 Fair Road. There is no admission charge for the concert, but a ticket issued by the church must be obtained to attend. A free will offering will be taken.

Previously, the concert was to be held at the Lockington United Methodist Church. Lockington UMC Pastor Bill Halter said the request for tickets has been “overwhelming”, and the move was made to allow enough space for all who wanted to attend the concert.

Troccoli first agreed to appear in Lockington after Halter responded to an email on her distribution list. Halter said she was expressing her desire to share her gift to churches who could only afford to share a love offering for her appearance.
