Could it really be 20 years since our Senior Center of Sidney Shelby County came into being? After many meetings, touring other senior citizens centers and planning sessions, The Senior Center of Sidney Shelby County became a reality in September 1997.
There have been many changes through the years. I know our original organizers are proud of how far we have come. We offer so many programs and services. We focus on health, education, recreation and socialization.
We strive to keep our membership fees low so that all who are 50 or better may partake of all we offer at our facility.
We would like to invite everyone to our open house anniversary celebration. This event will be Saturday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 4 pm. After touring the building, stop by the Cameo Theater for a few minutes of reminiscing. You will then be treated to a performance by one of the best choirs around, the Senior Center Singers.
Please stop in and help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. There will be refreshments and door prizes awarded.
You won’t find any rocking chairs at the Senior Center of Sidney Shelby County, but you will see lots of your friends enjoying the best senior center around!
