To the editor:
There has been a lot of publicity about some things Donald Trump said 11 years ago. Isn’t it interesting how all of a sudden there are all these people in the media and government who are “disgusted?” Where were they when Bill Clinton was president? He was involved in behavior that was disgusting and disrespecting of women while holding public office on our tax time. Where was the outrage? What happened then was that his party stood by him and media covered for him. And so, he was re-elected.
I am not defending Trump. What he said was disgusting, but what she (Clinton) has said and done is more disgusting. Four Americans died in Benghazi. She lied about it and then dismissed it as irrelevant. The FBI director indicated that she lied about her email server. She may have endangered our national security. I think all of that is disgusting and long-term distressing.
She promotes abortion on demand and wants the taxpayers to pay for it. The pro-abortion giant, Planned Parenthood was being investigated for selling body parts of babies, but she kept right on supporting them. Planned Parenthood contributed millions of dollars to her campaign. She has promised to keep tax money coming to them.
She goes even further in her promotion of abortion. Speaking at the sixth annual Women in the World Summit, Clinton said that “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to changed.”
That sounds like a threat to me. She believes the government should be used to force us to accept her pro-abortion policies. She would nominate Supreme Court justices who are pro-abortion. Clinton believes babies should be aborted at any time or any reason. I believe that’s disgusting.
We need to pray for her and for all of our candidates for public office. We voters need to take action to insure that the right to life and religious freedom are protected and that our constitution is honored. For that, Trump is a better bet than Hillary.
