Versailles boys third in meet

VERSAILLES — The Versailles High swim teams competed in the Trotwood-Greenon Fall Invitational on Saturday, the boys placing third out of 23 teams and the girls fourth out of 21 teams.

In the boys competition, Northmont was first with 248 followed by Troy Christian with 243 and Versailles with 141. Minster was seventh and Lehman 16th.

Leading the way for the Tigers were three second-place finishes.

The team of Clint Morgan, Harrison Detrick, Quincy Baltes and Cole Condon was second in the 200-medley relay in 1:51.13.

Morgan was also second in the 50-free in 23.36, and the 200 free relay team of Kyle Dapore, Detrick, Baltes and Morgan was second in 1:40.73.

Baltes added a sixth in the 100 individual medley in 1:04.09, and a sixth in the 50-butterfly in 26.95. Detrick placed seventh in the 50-breaststroke in 33.55 and Morgan was eighth in the 100-free in 54.4.

• The Minster girls took first place with 239 points, followed by Bellefontaine with 202, Northmont with 188.5 and Versailles with 166. Lehman was 17th.

For Versailles, Lexi Fliehman won the 50-free in 25.23 for the top finish, and was also second in the 100-free in 55.37.

She also swam anchor on the second-place 200 medley relay team which clocked in 1:05.82. Her teammates were Emily Kramer, Faith Wilker and Rachel Subler.

Subler was third in the 50-backstroke in 31.88 and fifth in the 100-IM in 1:11.44. Kramer was right behind in fourth place in the 50-back in 32.51, and also placed 11th in the 100-free in 1:03.19.

Faith Wilker took seventh in the 50-breaststroke in 37.61 and 10th in the 50-fly in 32.17. Payton Berger was eighth in the 50-breaststroke in 37.94.
