LIMA – Botkins’ Jack Dietz won the boys 16-18 age division in the Gray’s Cappie Sportswear Open, a Lima Junior Golf Association tournament, on Tuesday at Springbrook Golf Club in Lima.

Dietz, who will be a senior at Botkins this upcoming school year, shot an even-par 70 for the 18-hole round. He beat Carson Harmon, of Lima, by two strokes for the tournament championship.

JJ Meyer, of Botkins, tied for third with a 3-over par 73. Matt Mullen, of Sidney, finished sixth with a 4-over par 74. Jameson Meyer, of Botkins, tied for ninth with an 8-over par 78.

Ross Dietz, of Botkins, tied for 12th with a 9-over par 79. Ross Fiessinger, of Russia, tied for 20th with a 19-over par 89. Seth Hegemier, of Anna, finished 33rd with a 27-over par 97.

Seth Jones, of Sidney, finished 35th with a 29-over par 99. Hezekiah Bezy, of Sidney, finished 39th with a 39-over par 109. Andrew Belcher, of Minster, finished 40th with a 49-over par 119.

Minster’s Louis Magoto was the runner-up in the boys 14-15 age division as he shot a 17-over par 87. Sidney’s Noel Petersen finished seventh with a 29-over par 99. Connor Nartker, of Kalida, won the division with an 8-over par 78.

Henry Petersen, of Sidney, finished third in the boys 12-13 age division with a 13-over par 48 for a nine-hole round. Treg Meyer, of Botkins, finished sixth with a 19-over par 54. Max Voisard, of Minster, finished ninth with a 31-over par 66.

Evan Altenburger, of Ottoville, won the boys 12-13 division with a 4-over par 39.

Layne Voisard, of Minster, finished eighth in the girls 16-18 age division with a 21-over par 91. Zoey Merritt, of DeGraff, tied for ninth with a 25-over par 95. Madelyn Koenig, of Botkins, finished 13th with a 35-over par 105.

Bridget Mulcahy, of Lima, won the girls 16-18 division with a 4-over par 74.
