VERSAILLES — Fort Loramie senior standout Emily Knouff continued her dominating play early in the girls golf season, taking medalist honors Thursday morning at the annual Lady Tiger Tee, hosted by Versailles at Stillwater Valley Golf Course.

Knouff shot a 78 for the only sub-80 round of the tournament to lead the Lady Redskins to a third-place finish in the 14-team field.

Kettering Alter shot a 374 for first place and the host Lady Tigers shot a 383 for second. Fort Loramie was third with a score of 395.

New Bremen placed ninth with a 476 and Russia was 13th with a 524.

Megan Koppin shot a 98 for Fort Loramie, Kayla Rosengarten 107 and Riley Middendorf a 112 for Loramie’s team total.

For Versailles, Lauren Heitkamp and Lauren Durham both shot 89 to lead the Lady Tigers. Jorja Pothast had a 99 and Morgan Barlage shot a 106. Heitkamp and Durham tied for the fourth-best score of the tournament.

For New Bremen, the top score was turned in by Sarah Parker with a 118. Both Claire McClurg and Sarah Parker shot 119, one stroke better than Caylie Hall.

And for Russia, Maddie Borchers had the top score, a 104. Shae Borchers had a 116.

MIAMISBURG — Fort Loramie and Versailles also competed in the Miamisburg Invitational on Wednesday, with Versailles placing fourth and Fort Loramie fifth.

Again, Loramie’s Emily Knouff was medalist, tying Claire Nikolai of Alter in the 9-hole event with a 37.

Other scores for Loramie were Megan Koppin with a 48, Riley Middendorf with a 49 and Amy Eilerman with a 55.

For Versailles, Lauren Heitkamp and Jorja Pothast both shot 45, Lauren Durham 47 and Morgan Heitkamp 49.

GREENVILLE — Sidney competed in the Greenville Invitational at Turtle Creek Golf Course Thursday and finished in eighth spot with a 385.

Leading the Yellow Jackets was Jared Lindsay with an 83 and Kyle Noble with an 89. Lindsay was ninth overall.
