WEST CARROLLTON — Sidney ran its boys soccer record to 2-0 on the year with a 5-0 blanking of West Carrollton in action Tuesday night on the road.

The Jackets will return to the field on Saturday for a home match with Urbana.

Jalen Hudgins scored three goals to lead the Jackets, and Luke Rees added two more.

Rees also had two assists, and Evan Burden and Riley Kittle one each.

Goalie Ian Humphrey had two saves.

“Great performance from our boys tonight,” said Sidney coach Daniel Wicks. “We have started the season very well, and the team is building confidence. We need to focus on how we can improve and build on these performances. Our goal is to get better each game.”

The junior varsity team won 4-1, with Austin McLain scoring two goals and Moussa Dia one. The other came on an own goal.
