Lady Cavs win over Loramie

FORT LORAMIE — The Lehman volleyball team turned in a strong effort in defeating Fort Loramie 25-19, 25-9, 25-18 Saturday.

“They are defending state champs,” Lehman coach Greg Snipes said. “To go into their gym and win, we played really well. We have a tendency to let up and we didn’t do that today.

Sidney Chapman had 18 kills for Lehman, 7-2. Madeline Smith dished out 30 assists, while Marianne Hissong had seven kills. Adrianna Sehlhorst served three aces and Madison Hussey had 15 digs.

For the Lady Redskins, who are now 6-5, Caleigh Barhorst had seven kills, Sarah Stang six and Jess Stephens five. Aleah Frilling had 12 assists and Taylor Boerger 11, and Taylor Ernst had 13 digs.

Lehman will play Hardin Northern tonight in NWCC action. Loramie hosts Houston in County play Thursday.

Lady Jets win 3

MECHANICSBURG — Fairlawn was perfect in three matches in a quad at Mechanicsburg on Saturday, beating Emmanuel Christian 25-16, 25-13, Greenon 25-18, 25-13, and Mechanicsbug 27-25, 25-17.

In the first match, Audrey Francis had 11 digs, seven kills and three aces, Chelsea Brautigam nine assists, and Mollie Roe had six kills and five aces.

Against Greenon, Francis had 11 digs, seven ace serves and five kills, Brautigam 12 assists and Roe six kills.

And against Mechanicsburg, Brautigam handed out 19 assists and Francis pounded out 20 kills.

The 3-0 day put the Lady Jets at 7-3 on the season.

Minster beats Celina

ST. MARYS — Minster hosted Celina in a non-league match on Saturday and won three close games, the scores being 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

The Lady Wildcats, now 5-6 overall, were led in attacks by Paige Thobe and Katie Wuebker, who both had 13 kills in the match. Thobde added five total blocks.

Hayley Baumer set them up, finishing with 32 assists to go with five digs and a pair of aces. Rosie Westerbeck had seven kills and seven digs, Hannah Schmitmeyer finished with six kills and 19 digs, and LeAnn Huelsman had 12 digs.

Lady Rangers win

over Botkins 3-0

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Lady Rangers went to 6-3 on the season with a 3-0 win over Botkins in non-league play Saturday, the scores being 25-6, 25-14, 25-11.

The Lady Rangers got eight kills from Madison Lammers, five each from Rachel Leffel and Shayna Bierlein, and four each from Jenna Schwieterman and Caitlin Lammers.

Kenzie Schroer set them up, dishing out 30 assists, and Lammers, Bierlein and Schwieterman all had two aces. Sara Hostetter led in digs with seven, and M. Lammers added six.

New Knoxville won the junior varsity match 25-11, 25-8.
