There was plenty of action again Saturday in the West Ohio High School Bowling Conference, games being played at Woodcrest Lanes in Union City.


Versailles took on Fort Recovery and won 2195 to 1884 to go to 5-1 in the WOHSBC South Division and 6-2 overall.

The Lady Tigers were led by Brigette Holsapple and Morgan Heitkamp. Holsapple had a 308 series on games of 147 and 161, and Heitkamp was just one pin back with games of 137 and a team-high 170.

Mckenzie Berning had a 302 on games of 159 and 143.

Versailles had 1461 in regular games and 734 in baker.

• New Bremen was victorious over Fort Loramie in a close match, 1866 to 1797.

New Bremen goes to 4-1 in the league and 4-3 overall. Loramie is now 3-3 and 3-5.

For the Lady Cardinals, Tara Springer topped her team with a 312 on games of 162 and 150. Mykayla Truman had a 266 series and Ashton Ritter 229.

Loramie was led by Elena Bulcher with a 291 on games of 142 and 149. Avory Smith had a 237 series that included a team-high 150 game, and Jenna Thomas added a 146.

Bremen had 1210 in regular games and 656 in baker. Loramie had 1193 and 604.

• Russia took on first-place Coldwater and lost 2224 to 1951.

Russia was led by Destiny Osborne, who had a 356 series on games of 195 and 161. The 195 was Russia’s top game of the day.

Rebecca Osborne had a 278 and Klaryssa O’Reilly a 235. Savannah Albers rolled a 152 in her only game.

Russia had 1361 in regular games and 590 in baker. Coldwater had 1424 and 800 in baker.

• The Minster girls also had a close match, winning 2162 to 2000 over Mississinawa.

The Lady Wildcats, now 4-2 in the league and 4-4 overall, were led by Maya Watercutter’s 380 series on games of 186 and 194.

Kayla Steger had a 154 and a 165 for a 319, and Emma Snyder had a 144 and a 157 for a 302.

Minster had 1498 in regular games and a 664 in baker.

The Versailles boys went to 5-1 in the South and 6-2 overall with a 2866 to 1565 win over Ansonia.

The Tigers were led by Alex Groff’s 462 series on games of 199 and 263.

Jacob Wenig had the high game of 266 and added a 154 for a 420 series, and Kyle Cotner had a 200 and a 177 for a 377 series. Luke Shellhaas had a 363 on games of 191 and 172, Aydan Moran had a 189 game and Brandon Bradley rolled a 171 in his only game.

The Tigers had 1982 in regular games and an 884 in baker, including a 225.

• The New Bremen boys won by just 31 pins over Mississinawa Saturday, 2299 to 2268.

The Cardinals are now 4-3 in the South and 4-4 overall.

Spencer Alig had a 381 on games of 199 and 182, Jarod Keller had a 328 on games of 176 and 152, and Will Olberding had a 327 on games of 165 and 162. Cole Hemelgarn added a 155 game.

The Cards had 1613 in regular games and a 686 in baker.

• Fort Loramie lost 2637 to 2175 to St. Henry to fall to 3-3 in the South and 3-5 overall.

The Redskins were led by Bradyn Ransdell with a 351 series on games of 176 and 175, and Craig Eilerman with a 334 on games of 187 and 147.

Logan Siegel had a 158 game and a 282 series.

Loramie had 1428 in regular games and 747 in baker games. St. Henry’s baker score was 923 and included 197, 214 and 212 games.

• Minster and Russia battled to a close finish, with Minster winning by 40 pins 2282 to 2242.

Minster was led by Austen Vanderhorst with a 387 on games of 180 and 207, and Jordan Brackman with a 345 on games of 148 and 197. Devean Perts added a 156 game.

For Russia, Henry Tumbusch had a 314 on games of 186 and 128, Hunter Lloyd had a 313 on games of 161 and 152, and Luke Dahlinghaus had a 305 on games of 165 and 140.

Minster had 1534 in regular games and a 748 in baker. Russia had 1421 and and 821 in baker that included a 197 game.
