Sidney lost to Elida in a home girls tennis match Monday 4-1.
Sidney’s win vame from Madison Frank at third sihngles by a 6-1, 6-0 final.
The first doubles team of Hannah Brown and Marie Butts lost 6-3, 6-1, and the second doubles team of Auanna Edens and Naomi Riegel lost 6-2, 2-6, 10-8.
Junior varsity wins came from Kathryn Saunders at singles and Sarah Gibson and Nonoko Gunji at doubles.
• Sidney’s girls tennis team lost home matches to Lima Shawnee and Wapakoneta last week.
The Lady Jackets lost 5-0 to Lima Shawnee, the best match coming at third singles with Madison Frank falling 6-4. 6-1.
The junior varsity doubles team of Caroline Gallimore and Zoe Crist won their match.
Sidney lost to Wapak 4-1. The win came from Auanna Edens and Naomi Riegel at second doubles. They won a two-and-a-half hour match 7-5, 5-7, 10-8.
Lehman wins 4-0
Lehman defeated Springfield Catholic 4-0 on Senior Night Tuesday.
Diana Gibson won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles, Sara Gibson won 6-3, 6-1 at second singles, Emma Simpson and Alex Read won 6-1, 6-0 at first doubles, and Ann Pennapara and Alison Briggs won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles.
• Lehman lost to Wapakoneta by a 5-0 score Monday.
Wapak is now 18-0.
The best match came at first doubles, with Emma Simpson and Malnie Brunner falling 7-5, 6-3.
