SIDNEY — Twelve Fairlawn Elementary and Junior High singers from the choirs applied and were selected to sing with the Ohio Choral Directors Association Children’s Honor Choir featuring the highest development in vocal talent across the state.

Fairlawn singers selected for the honor choir are Loralei Chambers, daughter of Loraine Rose; Haley Cox, daughter of Aaron and Mindy Cox; Cynthia Davidson, daughter of Travis and Staci Davidson; Olivia Barga, daughter of Brad and Jen Barga; Liliana Phillips, daughter of Keith and Sonya Phillips; McKinlee Broaddrick, daughter of Rick and Michelle Broaddrick; Kylee Wheeler, daughter of Ryan and Patty Wheeler; Samantha Quinlisk, daughter of John and Laura Quinlisk; Chloe Weigandt, daughter Jason and Gwen Weigandt; Myla Cox, daughter of Aaron and Mindy Cox; Lola Chambers, daughter of Loraine Rose; and Brynn Thomas, daughter of Mike and Rachel Lavins.

Fairlawn singers are under the direction of Sonya Phillips.

Directors nominated their finest singers to participate and the references and applications are processed to select the top 120 singers. Selected singers stay for a three day long camp full of rehearsals and team building activities on the campus of Otterbein University in Westerville. The students will leave this experience with stronger skills new friendships, and a lifetime of musical memories.
