DEGRAFF — Riverside High School held the eighth Annual Evening of Excellence to celebrate student academic achievement on Wednesday, March 8. Students with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 an above and 3.5-3.9 were honored. The event also recognized students with an ACT score over 27 and seniors earning the Interact Service-Above-Self Award. The Evening of Excellence is organized by the Riverside Family-School Partnership and funded mostly by donations. Refreshments were served.

VERSAILLES — At the February FFA meeting the new officers for the 2023-2024 school year and the February FFA Members of the month were announced. Owen Rindler and Taylor Grilliot were selected as Versailles FFA members of the month.

MINSTER – The public is invited to attend a presentation by Chris Herren as he shares his journey navigating the disease of addiction, the road to recovery and his mission to reach just one person and make a difference. The free presentation is open to the public and will take place at Minster Elementary School in Minster, on Wednesday, March 22, at 7:30 pm. The school is located at 50 E. Seventh St., Minster.

50 students heading to State Science Day

PIQUA — A total of 110 students from Miami, Darke, Shelby and Champaign Counties competed in the Ohio Academy of Science Upper Miami Valley District Science Day, held at Edison State Community College, Piqua, Ohio on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Students exhibited projects in science, technology, engineering and mathematics which they worked on from September through February of this year. The Science Day (Fair) program has been in Ohio since the 1949. Students who complete and present a science or engineering project at a local science fair in their school, or at a county event, may qualify to compete at the District level.

Lehman to present ‘Curtains!’

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic High School will present their 45th annual spring musical and the area premiere of “Curtains!” From the songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago) comes this delightful musical comedy who-dun-it. The show will be performed at the Historic Sidney Theatre in downtown Sidney on Thursday, March 23, at 7 p.m., Friday, March 24, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, March 25, at 8 p.m. All seats are reserved.
