SIDNEY — The Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club has named Lauren Brubaker the February 2018 Teen of the Month.

Brubaker is a senior at Houston High School and ranks first in her class, with a 4.0 GPA.

She is the daughter of Mike and Teresa Brubaker, of Sidney.

Her academic activities, honors and awards include National Honor Society, Spanish Circle, Environmental Club, Student Council, yearbook staff, and class president. She is an honor roll student at Houston High School and takes numerous college credit classes at Edison State Community College, where she is on the dean’s list.

Her extracurricular, community activities are participating in the Houston Livestock 4-H Club, sitting on the Junior Fair Board and being a blood donor.

Brubaker plans to attend the Ohio State University to study interior design.
