Compassionate Care meets


SIDNEY — The board of Compassionate Care approved two volunteers during its meeting, May 28.

Dental hygienist Mary Billing and pharmacy student Kasey Adams have joined the volunteer staff of the organization.

In other business, the board:

• Received an award and recommendations from United Way Executive Director Scott Barr and United Way President Scott Gaier.

• Approved grants from Americares, Kroger and United Way.

• Applied for grants from Walmart Bellefontaine, the Louis and Sandra Berkman Foundation, the Henry E. Niles Foundation and Bank of America.

• Discussed the Affair in the Alley fundraiser scheduled for Aug. 21.
