SIDNEY — Recently the Sidney Rotary recognized three outstanding individuals who serve and protect the county and community.

Becky Gillman, director of FISH, was awarded the 2015 Rotary Service Above Self Award. This honor recognizes any individual living in Sidney or Shelby County who demonstrates Rotary’s motto and spirit of “Service Above Self.” Gillman has been serving the FISH organization for 12 years, volunteering up to 35 hours per week over the past 10 years.

Also recognized were Sidney Police Department Officer of the Year Chris Burmeister and Sidney Fire Department Firefighter of the Year Dallas Davis.
