MINSTER — A break-in at the Arrowhead Golf Course, 2211 Dirksen Road, Minster, is under investigation by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, the business was broken into between 10 p.m. Saturday, June 13, and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 14. A cash box with $800 was taken A widescreen television valued at $300 was broken during the incident. Damage to the doors and frames was set at $1,000 and damage to the wall of the building was set at $5,000.

Kevin Chalk, an employee at the golf course, reported the break-in. He said the phone box at the rear entrance was forced open and the wires inside were cut. The Pro Shop entrance’s door was forced open. Chalk’s office was broken into and cabinets were opened and tipped, a flat screen TV was broken and the cash box was taken.

The alarm box had been disabled by the person or persons who broke in.

The restaurant at the golf course was also broken into. The suspects forced their way in through the back door. A large section of the exterior was was also cut, the insulation removed and a triangle-shaped chunk of the inner wall was also cut out.

Inside the walled area, which is the restaurant’s storage room, damage was done to the phone and Internet system.

The incident remains under investigation.
