Police log


-5:21 p.m.: property found. Someone found a driver’s license and gave it to police. The license belonged to Brittney Brooks, 12471 State Route 274, Anna.

-2:55 p.m.: theft. Paula George, 217 E. Edgewood St., reported rings and other jewelry, valued at $10,785, were stolen from her residence.

-2:41 p.m.: theft. Victoria Tuttle, 505 E. College St., Jackson Center, reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle at 216 Pike St. The purse was valued at $20.

-2:32 p.m.: theft. Police arrested Tre’marqua D. Carey, 18, at large, on a theft charge. He allegedly stole a 2013 Chevy Cruse owned by Cullen Holcomb, of Loveland, from 411 E. Pinehurst St.

-1:56 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Justin A. Broaddrick, 32, 2345 Collins Drive, Apt. D, on Interstate 75 on a warrant from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. He was placed in the Shelby County Jail on a theft charge.

-11:13 a.m.: possession of drugs. Police arrested James Agner, 30, 136 W. Robinwood St., in the 300 block of North Miami Avenue on a charge of possession of drugs. He allegedly had five capsules of heroin.

-10 a.m.: theft. Cynthia Longcoy, 208 Sophia Ave., reported a bicycle, valued at $100, was stolen from her residence.


-9:56 p.m.: unruly juvenile. Police arrested a 14-year-old girl on a charge of being unruly after a woman reported the girl left without permission.


-2:54 p.m.: theft. Personnel at Menards reported a man took an air nailer off a shelf and walked out of the store without paying for it. The nailer was valued at $400.


Two vehicles collided in an alley Tuesday at 10:42 a.m.

Joshua F. Thumma, 31, 315 Enterprise Ave., was westbound in an alley and Emily E. Ferrise, 27, 114 E. Clay St., was northbound in an intersecting alley adjacent to 322 S. Main Ave. Both drivers failed to stop at the intersection and the autos collided. The Thumma auto was pushed into a metal pole on the northwest side of the alley.
