JACKSON CENTER — Connie and Harold Helman, of Jackson Center, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, July 12, 2015, from 1 to 5 p.m., at an open house, hosted by their children, in the Family Life Center, 310 Davis St., Jackson Center.

Harold and the former Connie Herd were married July 3, 1965, in the Sidney First United Methodist Church.

Harold is the son of the late Emerson and LaVonne Helman. He has a sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Bud Trapp, of Marysville.

Connie is the daughter of the late Ruth and Joseph Herd. She has a living sister, Rosalind Russell, and a living brother-in-law, James Berger, both of Sidney. Two other sisters, Mary Jo Berger and Donna Cecil, a brother, Samuel Herd, and two brothers-in-law, Richard Russell and Don Cecil, are deceased.

The Helmans have a son and friend, David Helman and Jody Reymiller, of Jackson Center, and a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ed Kinstle, of Wapakoneta. They have four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Connie is a housewife and was a childcare provider for many years. Harold retired from Honda in 2002 and operates Artistic Designs in Jackson Center.

They enjoy traveling, antiquing and spending time with family.
