Nine vie for Bremenfest queen


NEW BREMEN — Nine young ladies will vie for the title of Bremenfest Queen during the 2015 pageant Sunday, Aug. 9, in the James F. Dicke Auditorium at New Bremen High School.

The queen and her court will be announced Aug. 14, during the Bremenfest opening ceremonies.

The candidates are Alyse Clune, 17, daughter of Alicia and Terry Squires, sponsored by Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen; Allison Luedeke, 17, daughter of Marge and Gordon Luedeke, sponsored by Emmy’s Bridal; Brittany Pence, 17, daughter of Shannon and David Pence, sponsored by the Looking Glass Salon and Spa; and Amy Schmitmeyer, 17, daughter of Donna and Gary Schmitmeyer, sponsored by the Auglaize/Mercer County YMCA.

Also Madison Wells, 17, daughter of Julie and Jeff Wells, sponsored by the New Bremen American Legion Post 241; Paige Rutschilling, 17, daughter of Dana and Rick Rutschilling, sponsored by Dana Rutschilling, LISW; Julie Niekamp, daughter of Jenny and Randy Niekamp, sponsored by the New Bremen Coffee Co.; Molly Borkowski, 17, daughter of Jill and oe Borkowski, sponsored by Gilberg Furniture; and Kaitlyn Ahrns, 17, daughter of Elaine and Rick Ahrns, sponsored by Garmann and Miller.
