MARIA STEIN – The 3rd Kreuzweg Cycling Pilgrimage of the Land of the Cross Tipped Churches will be held on Sept. 19.

This group ride of 23 miles begins and ends at the Shrine of the Holy Relics 2291 St. Johns Road, Maria Stein and features 30 min. visits and tours of historic churches with an added longer stop at the Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen.

The ride begins sharp at 9 a.m. and will conclude around 5 p.m. The route primarily traces country roads with flat terrain and rest stops for water and restrooms at churches which are between 3 and 10 miles apart.

Marked roads, T-shirts and pilgrim shells available for purchase. A box lunch will be prepared for all registered pilgrims at a minimal cost, payable at the picnic site in New Bremen. (Please let us know at time of registration, if you would like to purchase a boxed lunch.) Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes or more ahead of the group departure time of 9 a.m. Helmets are required. Check in at the shelter house just north of the Shrine.
