Loramie golfers edge Fairlawn

SIDNEY — Fort Loramie got past Fairlawn in a good high school boys golf match on Tuesday at Shelby Oaks, 166-172.

Brad Goettemoeller continued his fine play with a 37 for Loramie. Connor Rose and Tanner Rosengarten both shot 42 for Loramie and Aaron Schwartz added a 45.

For the Jets, Mason Jones had a 40, Jacob Caldwell 41, Cody Kurtner 45 and Kyle Noble 46.

Houston tops Botkins

SIDNEY — Houston defeated Botkins in County golf at Shelby oaks Tuesday 195-211.

For Houston, Nick Shoemaker had a 47, Zach Me Kee and Zach Freytag 49 and Tristin Stangel 50.

For Botkins, Josh Miller took medalist honors with a 41.

Versailles beats NK

MINSTER — Versailles beat New Knoxville in Midwest Athletic Conference Tuesday 176-209.

Nick Litmer had a 41 for Versailes, Griffin Riegle 42, Jacob Watren 46 and Kyle Cotner 47.

Knoxville got a 43 from Hunter McMurray.

Russia edges Anna

VERSAILLES — Russia edged Anna in a tight County boys golf match Monday at Stillwater Valley in Versailles.

The Raiders finished with 166 to Anna’s 169.

Jack Dapore claimed medalist honors, leading Russia with a 38. Connor Monnin added a 42 and both Zach Sherman and Jonah Counts shot 43. Dylan Cordonnier chipped in a 44.

For Anna, Ross Pulfer shot a 40, Mason Platfoot 41, Zach Wartren 43 and Ryan Smelewski 45.

Cavs lose to LTC

LIMA — The Lehman golfers lost a close match to Lima Temple Christian in Northwest Central Conference dual action Monday, 170-173.

The Cavaliers had three 42s, but Ryan Schmidt, Adam Vanderhorst and Tyler Scott. Zach Scott added a 47.

Tie-breaker win

CELINA — Minster and Marion both finished with a 187, but Minster won on the fifth score tiebreaker in Midwest Athletic Conference boys golf action Monday.

It was Minster’s first MAC win of the season.

Jordan Brackman led the Wildcats with a 42, Ben Stubbs had a 44, Adam Knapke 50, Breett Hoelscher 51 and Conner Tumbusch 52.

For Marion, Derek Platfoot led with a 41, Jordan Heitkamp had a 47, Collin Fleck 49, Mitch Rethman 50 and Jacob Zizelman 56.

Rangers lose to FR

CELINA — In another match at the Mercer Elks, Fort Recovery defeated New Knoxville 166-219 in boys golf action Monday.

Hunter McMurray led the Rangers with a 43.

Lady Wildcats win

MINSTER — The Minster girls continued to play well, beating Marion Local 190-236 in action at Arrowhead.

Allie Fischer and Lisa Borges both shot 46 for Minster to share medalist honors. Sarah Huwer added a 48 and Taylor Homan had a 50.

Molly Kindel and Mariah Moeller led Marion with 57 and 58, respectively.
