The fall season for college sports has begun, and New Knoxville graduate Meg Reineke is off to an excellent start.

She is a freshman member of the women’s volleyball team at Sinclair Community College, and in the opener against UC-Clermont, she pounded out 15 kills and added 10 digs. Her hitting percentage was an impressive .464.

She followed that up with 25 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 loss to Vincennes.

Lauren Roetgerman, Minster — Roetgerman is a freshman teammate of Reineke’s at Sinclair and is also off to a good start to the volleyball season. Against UC Clermont, she had four kills, and against Vincennes, she pounded out 10.

Taylor Winner, Versailles — Winner is a freshman middle hitter for the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima and started off well for the volleyball team. She led UNOH with seven kills and also had three blocks against Bethel College. She had four kills against Doane, and a team-high nine kills against Ashford.
