MONDAY

2:53 p.m.: property-damage accident. A two-vehicle crash occurred in the 3000 block of Wapakoneta Avenue.

-11:13 a.m.: theft. Items were stolen from buses at Shelby Hills School.

-8:51 a.m.: theft. Coins were stolen from 20729 Sidney-Plattsville Road.

TUESDAY

-1:10 p.m.: property-damage accident. A semi rig took down power lines at 106 S. Mill St., Botkins.

MONDAY

-3:39 p.m.: vandalism. A vehicle was vandalized at Airstream, Jackson Center.

Accident

A train hit an unoccupied pickup truck in Russia Sunday at 12:57 a.m.

Cody W. Jones, 20, 3609 Lindsey Road, was northbound on Lynn Street and failed to stop at the dead end. The truck continued up a hill and came to rest on the railroad tracks. An eastbound CSX train hit the truck and dragged it about 3,500 feet before coming to a halt. The investigating deputy cited Jones with leaving the scene of an accident.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-11:30 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue was called to the 10000 block of Fair Road.

-12:01 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 300 block of Clay Street, Jackson Center.

MONDAY

-5:34 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to the 10000 block of Fort Loramie-Swanders Road.

-1:15 p.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue was called to the 10000 block of state Route 47.

-7:36 a.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue and the Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services were called to the 20000 block of state Route 47.

SUNDAY

-7:14 p.m.: fire. Smoke was reported to be coming from 211 Robb St., Unit A, Jackson Center. Anna Fire and Rescue, and Botkins, Jackson Center and Van Buren Township Fire responded. According to radio traffic, the fire was quickly contained and the extra fire units were dismissed.
