CELINA — The Russia girls golf team won on the fifth-player tiebreaker in a match at the Mercer County Elks Tuesday against Fort Recovery.

The two teams tied at 214, but Russia’s Ellie Fiessinger shot a 58 to Fort Recovery’s 66 to give Russia the match.

Maddie Borchers shot a 50, Lizzie Adams and Kara Barlage 54 and Alicia George 56 for Russia, which is now 7-6 with New Bremen coming to Stillwater tonight.

over Fort Loramie

VERSAILLES — Emily Knouff of Fort Loramie was the medalist, but Versailles won the match 192-217 in girls golf action at Stillwater Tuesday.

For Versailles, Lauren Heitkamp shot a 46, Maddie Covault 47, Lauren Durham 49 and Jorja Pothast 50.

Knouff finished with a 40 for Loramie, Kayla Rosengarten had a 58, Rylee Poeppelman 59 and Amy Eilerman and Grace Ruhenkamp 60.

win MAC match

VERSAILLES — The Versailles boys defeagted Parkway in Midwest Athletic Conference play at Stillwater Tuesday 160-177.

The Tigers got a 35 from Jacob Watren, 39s from Nicholas Litten Stonebraker and Griffen Riegle, and a 47 from Connor Custenborder.

The Tigers finished 7-2 in MAC play, good enough for second behind St. Henry.
