THURSDAY

-7:04 a.m.: theft. Morgan Marvin, 22, 411 S. Main Ave., reported a portable battery charger, valued at $35, was stolen from his residence.

WEDNESDAY

-9:26 p.m.: parking violation. Police issued a summons to Kambra Heffner, 41, 515 Karen Ave., for a parking violation.

-7:54 p.m.: parking violation. Police issued a summons to Dustin Anderson, 26, 617 1/2 N. Main Ave., for a parking violation.

-7:48 p.m.: parking violation. Police issued a summons to Ross Yerkey, 27, 528 N. Main Ave., for a parking violation.

-6:34 p.m.: assault. Warren Powers, 314 N. West Ave., reported someone assaulted him in the 200 block of East North Street. He had an apparent minor injury.

-4:45 p.m.: theft and criminal damaging. Audrey Gutman, 311 W. State St., Botkins, reported the front passenger window on her auto was damaged and a bag, valued at $20, was stolen at 114 E. Poplar St. Loss due to damage was $200.

-1:47 p.m.: endangering children. Police responded to an address on a report of possible child abuse. The case is under investigation.

-9:24 a.m.: theft. Personnel at the Sidney Daily News reported the theft of newspapers from a vending machine outside the Ollie’s store. A witness said a person paid for one paper and took multiple papers.

-9:22 a.m.: property found. A bicycle was found at 315 W. Russell Road and given to police.

-6:16 a.m.: theft. Marvin Allen, 10966 Comanche Drive, reported someone stole a trash can, valued at $50, from the backyard at 115 E. South St.

TUESDAY

-2:22 p.m.: theft. Joshua Elmore, 2760 Kristy Way, reported someone entered his unlocked vehicle at his residence and stole medication.

Accidents

Alysha Gross, 32, 300 N. Miami Ave., was cited with a traffic control device violation after an accident Wednesday at 3:44 p.m.

Gross was eastbound on Washington Street and slid through the intersection at Main Avenue. Her auto hit a car that was northbound on Main and driven by Tammy Findlay, 45, 604 1/2 N. Main Ave.

• An accident involving a car and pedestrians occurred Tuesday at 7:54 p.m.

Sharon Jung, 53, 1311 Rutledge St., was southbound on Brooklyn Avenue. She stopped for a red traffic light at Court Street and then turned right while Cheyanne Blankenship, 12, 217 1/2 E. North St., and two other people were walking in the crosswalk. There were conflicting stories as to whether Blankenship was hit by the car. Police said she did not appear to be injured and the vehicle was not damaged. No citations were issued.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-2:02 a.m.: Medics responded to a call.

WEDNESDAY

-11:33 a.m. to 9:52 p.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

-2:25 p.m.: gas odor. Firefighters were called to the Municipal Building, Poplar Street, to investigate a natural gas odor.
