JACKSON CENTER — FreshStart Farm, of Jackson Center, announced a voluntary recall Friday of its chocolate milk product due to low pasteurization temperature. The product did not achieve proper pasteurization during processing and pathogens could have survived.
This recall involves a limited amount of product, approximately 20 half gallons, sold in glass bottles with the code date of Dec. 15, 2015.
There have been no reports of illness involving products addressed in this recall; however, individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of foodborne illness should contact a physician immediately, FreshStart said.
