The Sidney junior high boys basketball teams were both victorious over Vandalia Morton in action this week.

The eighth grade Junior Jackets beat Morton 44-32.

Jalen Hudgins and Trey Werntz both had 15 points for Sidney, and Darren Taborn added nine.

The seventh grade team went to overtime, where it outscored Morton 7-4 to come away with a 37-34 victory.

Anthony Wortham led Sidney in scoring with 10 and Ryan Schloss finished with nine.

Both Sidney teams are now 2-0 after also beating Piqua earlier in the week.
