Hubbard, Frilling share vows

SIDNEY — Sarah Elizabeth Hubbard, of Sidney, and Jordan Patrick Frilling, of Anna, were united in marriage, Dec. 5, 2015, at 1:30 p.m., in the Sacred Heart Church in McCartyville.

The bride is the daughter of Judy and Len Hubbard, of Sidney. Her grandparents are Ruth and James Hubbard, of Shelby, and Helen Pulfer, of Sidney, and the late Paul Pulfer.

The bridegroom is the son of Susan and Patrick Frilling, of McCartyville. His grandparents are Ruth Ann Meyer, of McCartyville, and the late Clarence Meyer, and the late Peg and Ben Frilling.

The Rev. Jerry Bensman, great-uncle of the bridegroom, and the Rev. John Tonkin performed the ceremony. Kelly Schmitmeyer was the musician and Kate Timmerman and Will Inman were vocalists.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white and silver, Allure, mermaid-shaped gown with a fitted bodice outlined with beads and crystals and featuring a sweetheart neckline. The gown was covered with a delicate, lace applique with a scalloped edge. Her waist-length veil featured silver bugle beads and crystals. She carried a bouquet of white roses, greenery and silver and blue Christmas bulbs, tied with silver ribbon.

Paige Barker was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Frilling and Lindsay Frilling, both sisters of the bridegroom, Ashleigh Meyer, cousin of the bridegroom, Lindsay Hubbard, sister of the bride, Becky Pulfer, cousin of the bride, Danielle Wente and Kristen Ostendorf. Jaedyn Johnson and Maleah Johnson were flower girls.

The attendants wore strapless, navy satin, evening gowns with silver brooches. They carried bouquets of greenery with silver and blue Christmas bulbs, tied with silver ribbon.

Nathan Frilling served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Bensman, Josh Berning and Jake Meyer, all cousins of the bridegroom, Matthew Hubbard, brother of the bride, Nathan Bemus, cousin of the bride, Brad Watercutter and Nick Esser. Eric Shaffer, brother of the bride, was the usher.

The mother of the bride wore a champagne-colored evening gown with a bodice made of crystals and beads and a jacket. The mother of the bridegrom wore a champagne-colored, sleeveless, evening gown featuring a hint of silver and sparkles. Both mothers wore silver bracelet wrist corsages of white sweetheart roses, greenery and silver Christmas bulbs.

A dinner-and-dancing reception at St. Michael’s Hall in Fort Loramie followed the ceremony. The hall was decorated with silver and blue bulbs in vases, snowflakes and red lanterns, and white linens with navy runners on tables, silver branches with lights, hanging mistletoe and hanging snowflakes.

The couple honeymooned in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and reside in Columbus.

The bride graduated from Sidney High School in 2009. The bridegroom is a 2010 graduate of Anna High School.
