The Sidney Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team demolished Piqua Thursday, 39-14, to run its record on the season to 14-0.

The Junior Lady Jackets upped their Greater Western Ohio Conference North record to 9-0, and can clinch no worse than a tie for the division title on Tuesday when they take on 1-11 Northmont White at home.

Makira Webster finished with 14 to lead Sidney and Kiplyn Rowland added 10.

• The 7th grade girls also defeated Piqua Thursday and are now 5-4 in the North and 8-6 overall.
