Senior Center tracks attendance

SIDNEY — The Senior Center of Sidney and Shelby County welcomed 40,000 visitors in 2015.

So reported Executive Director Eileen Wiseman to the organization’s board during its regular meeting, Feb. 5.

The figure is based on daily attendance.

Wiseman also reported that the center had 592 members in January including 39 new members; 2,976 people attended during the month for an average daily count of 129. Volunteers donated 449 hours of service.

In other business, the board heard an update from Sidney City Manager Mark Cundiff on city initiatives and learned that the Masonic Lodge will assist the center with landscaping through the Adopt a Park project.
