GREENVILLE — The Dark County Park District will offer a 10-week summer internship beginning in June with a potential stipend to a student possessing or working toward a degree in cultural, natural, or environmental studies.

Duties will include tasks associated with natural and cultural history programming, organization of summer day-camps on a variety of subjects, environmental education/interpretation, general maintenance, and operation of a Nature Education Center and park areas.

The ideal candidate should enjoy working with young children and the public, being outdoors and possess excellent communication skills. Swimming proficiency and other outdoor skills will be helpful. Applicants must be willing to adapt to a flexible schedule working some evening and weekend hours and must be able to lift 50 pounds. They must possess valid Ohio driver’s licenses and be able to pass a drug-screening and background investigation.

What is your experience in assisting with a child day camp (or similar topic) before? What is your favorite outdoor pastime?
