BOTKINS — The Shelby County Republican Party will host its annual Lincoln Day Dinner, Thursday, April 28, at the Palazzo, 309 S. Main St., Botkins.

Tickets cost $20 and are available by calling 394-7664, emailing [email protected], or mailing a check to Shelby County Republican Party, P.O. Box 643, Sidney, OH 45365.

A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

This year’s speaker will be Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.

DeWine grew up in Yellow Springs and started his political career as Greene County prosecutor in 1976. He has served as a state senator, a U.S. senator, a U.S. congressman and lieutenant governor. As the state’s attorney general, he has decreased the turn-around time for DNA analysis in crime investigations, pushed the testing of rape kits, shut down pill mills to combat illegal drugs and created a Crimes Against Children unit in his office.
