Upper Valley Career Center BOE

PIQUA — The Upper Valley Career Center Board of Education will meet Monday, April 25, at 6 p.m. in the Adams Board Room.

Reports will be given and a review is planned of year-end events for the students and staff. Donations, textbook purchases and fee schedule revisions will be discussed. Employment for the 2016-17 school year is also on the agenda.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY – The Sidney City Council will meet Monday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be a public hearing on the Community Development Block Grant, and in citizen comments William Zimmerman Jr. will discuss a request for amendment to an ordinance. They will also adopt an amendment to an ordinance about membership and appointment to the stormwater appeals board.

In addition they will hear a resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into the renewal of a shared services agreement with the Board of County Commissioners of Shelby County regarding geographic information system (gis) technological software and services. As well as resolutions reappointing David Gross to the downtown design review board, reappointing Sarah Anne Sharp and Ross A. Moore III to the city tree board, accepting the plat titled “Stolle West Industrial Park Replat”, authorizing a cooperative agreement for the reconstruction of a lime lagoon between the city of Sidney the Ohio Water Development Authority, and accepting the recommendations from the tax incentive review council regarding enterprise zone agreements, community reinvestment area agreements and tax increment financing agreements.

The council will also hold an executive session to consider the purchase of property for public purposes and pending or imminent court action.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in council chambers.

They will hear a presentation from Dovetail Solar and Wind about a solar field. They will also have a discussion on the county land bank. They will introduce two new ordinances including one authorizing adjustments in the 2016 Annual Appropriations, and another to authorize and direct the municipality to execute a mutual aid agreement with national participating municipalities with municipal electric systems, in order to be able to receive and provide mutual assistance during times of emergencies through the interchange and use of personnel and equipment.

They will also have an executive session for the purpose of discussing the purchase or sale of real estate.

New Knoxville BOE

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Board of Education will meet Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in the media center at the school.

Reports will be given by the Education Association, principal and superintendent. Contracts for the 2016-17 school year will also be considered.

Russia BOE

RUSSIA — The Russia Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. to conduct final rounds of interviews for the k-12 principal position. No action will be taken.

Fort Loramie BOE

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school media center. The purpose of the meeting is to act on personnel recommendations.

New Bremen BOE

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Board of Education will meet in special session, Tuesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. to consider Tri Star 2.0 resolutions.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — The Anna Village Council will meet Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 7 p.m. in council chambers. They will read an ordinance for the first time. One will authorizing the village fiscal officer to create blanket and super blanket purchase orders. Blanket purchase orders are used to set aside funds to pay for utilities and health insurance premiums throughout the year. They close at the end of every fiscal year. A resolution will be read authorizing the village administrator to enter into an agreement with Miami Valley Lighting.

They will also hear reports from village officials and committee. In old business they will discuss farm land-postponed, qualifications based selection for professional services, income tax levy-November Ballot, county land bank, and affordable gas and electric-aggregation.

North Central Ohio Solid Waste Management District

LIMA — The Board of Directors of the North Central Ohio Solid Waste Management District will hold its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, April 27, at 9 a.m. at the Ohio Hi Point Career Center, TECH Center, 2280 State Route 540, Bellefontaine.

Hardin-Houston BOE

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education will hold a special meeting Wednesday, April 27, at 5:45 p.m. in the Administrative Conference Room. The purpose of the meeting is to hire several coaching positions.
