Shelby County CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem) Director Bridget Davis gets a pie thrown in her face by Brandt Wingate, 5, of Piqua, son of Carlie and Burton Wingate, during CASA on the Square Tuesday, April 26. Sitting, far left, is Sidney Police Captain Jerry Tangeman and sitting, far right, is Sidney Fire Deputy Chief Cameron Haller. Both men also got a pie in the face. Raffle tickets were drawn to see who got to throw a pie. Hot dogs were served for free. 105.5 TAM FM’s Joe Laber interviewed Davis live during the event as well. CASA/GAL is made up of volunteers that are trained community members appointed by the court to actively advocate for a child’s best interest and the need for a safe, nurturing, permanent home.
