FORT LORAMIE — Eagle Scout Nathan Hausfeld will unveil and dedicate his project, the Fort Loramie Veterans Memorial, Sunday, May 1, at 12:30 p.m., in Canal Park, here.

Participating in the event, with his fellow Troop 355 scouts, will be the Fort Loramie High School Band and speakers from the village, from Shelby County government and from American Legion Post 355. The event is open to the public. Organizers hope veterans from throughout the county will attend.

Hausfeld, 16, son of Amy and Ron Housfeld, created the monument in fulfillment of requirements for his Eagle award.
