MONDAY

-7 p.m.: criminal damaging. Joshua Elmore, 28, 1714 Fair Oaks Drive, reported that someone keyed his car overnight.

SUNDAY

-8:58 p.m.: breaking and entering. Edward Lovett, 63, 225 Franklin Ave., reported that his garage may have been broken into.

-8:56 p.m.: grand jury indictment. Shawn Griffith, 25, 323 Franklin Ave., was arrested on a warrant.

-4:24 p.m.: warrant. Corey Arbogast, 24, 318 Vandemark Road, was arrested on a warrant.

-2:57 p.m.: warrant. Matthew Overbey, 41, 318 S. Wilkinson Ave., was arrested on active warrants.

-1:12 p.m.: found property. Norbert Reprogle, 36, reported observing a man carrying an aluminum ladder down the alley and then dropping it along side the residence of 320 N. Miami Ave. before running off. The ladder was placed in the Police Department’s garage for safe keeping.

-11:11 a.m.: breaking and entering. Danny Bryant II, 36, at large, was arrested for multiple thefts and breaking and entering at 526 N. West Ave.

-10:48 a.m.: found property. Dennis Goings, 55, 520 Second Ave., Apt. C, reported finding abandoned clothing, personal items and marijuana at 1554 Michigan St. The items were placed with the Police Department as evidence for safe keeping.

SATURDAY

-9:06 a.m.: warrant. Tonia Jones, 36, 2109 Westminster Drive, was arrested on a warrant.

-5:46 a.m.: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Nicole Jameson, 33, 209 Pike St., reported that someone she knows took the vehicle belonging to her boyfriend without permission.

-1:48 a.m.: driving under the influence. Kara Vanfossen, 24, 10901 Thompson Schiff Road, was arrested for OVI.

FRIDAY

-9:34 p.m.: assault. Deelanea Johnson, 39, 785 Foraker Ave., reported that someone attempted to assault Henry Howell, 44, 785 Foraker Ave., with a metal pole.

-7:43 p.m.: theft. Shylnn Rickles, 18, 1191 W. Russell Road, was arrested for theft after Walmart on Michigan Street reported that she took $248 in merchandise.

-4:15 p.m.: grand jury indictment. Justin Dwyer, 33, 626 Mohican St., was arrested on a grand jury indictment, possession of drugs, illegal conveyance of drugs and possessing criminal tools.

-1:13 p.m.: contempt. Kimberly Richard, 45, of Cincinnati, was arrested on a warrant.

-8:16 a.m.: trafficking. Andrew Turner, 33, and April Rowe, 31, 523 ½ N. Miami Ave., were arrested for trafficking, possession of drugs and criminal tools after a narcotics search warrant was executed of their residence. Turner already had an outstanding contempt warrant for his arrest.

-6:34 a.m.: theft. Joshua Hockett reported someone he knows took his wallet containing money and his identification card from his hotel room.

THURSDAY

-10:34 p.m.: physical control of vehicle while under the influence. Tracy Potts, 50, 936 Buckeye Ave., Apt. 131, was arrested for physical control.

-8:32 p.m.: criminal damaging. Caleb Martin, 18, of Houston, reported his vehicle was severely damaged following an altercation with several people in the city pool parking lot.

-3:48 p.m.: theft. Jessica Sowders, 29, 1326 Grove St., reported that someone she knows stole her tablet.

WEDNESDAY

-9:40 p.m.: theft. Andy Leach, 22, 414 Walnut Ave., reported a television was taken from his residence.

Accidents

Beverly Frazier, 48, 941 N. Miami Ave., was cited with assured clear distance after an accident on Monday at 7:23 p.m.

Frazier was traveling southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue and was approaching the intersection at Russel Road when she hit the back of another vehicle also facing southbound and stopped at the traffic light at Russel Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was Paula Hill, 35, 17150 Gearhart Road.

• James Davis, 74, 1215 Taft St., was cited with right of way private drive after an accident on Monday at 7:23 p.m.

Davis was turning west on Campbell Road as he left the Sidney High School when he hit another vehicle that was traveling westbound on Campbell Road causing minor damages.

The driver of the other vehicle was Bambi Wagner, 36, 527 Campbell Road.

• Scott Little, 47, 238 Pomeroy Ave., was cited with right of way at intersection after an accident on Monday at 12:35 p.m.

Little was turning left from Oak Street on to state Route 29 when he hit another vehicle that was traveling northbound on state Route 29.

The driver of the other vehicle was Jessica Peltier, 28, 826 St. Mary’s Ave.

• James Maybry II, 37, of Dayton was cited with failure to control after a crash Sunday at 10:31 p.m.

Maybry was traveling westbound in the 400 block of Fair Road when he ran off the road to the right and struck a concrete barrier and then the handrail on the stairs of the property of 440 Fair Road.

• Kara Vanfossen, 24, 10901 Thompson Schiff Road, was cited with failure to control and arrested for driving under the influence after an accident on Saturday at 1:48 a.m.

Vanfossen was traveling southbound on Brooklyn Avenue when she became distracted by her phone and crossed the center line and then back striking the rear of a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway. Vanfossen then backed away from the parked vehicle and went to the residence of 306 Monroe St.

The owner of the other vehicle is Kevin Burdiss, 218 Brooklyn Ave.

• Evan Bruggeman, 17, of Anna, was cited for stop and yield sign after an accident on Saturday at 12:07 a.m.

Bruggeman was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Hoewisher Road and Broadway Avenue and then began to travel westbound onto Broadway Avenue when he struck another vehicle traveling southbound on Broadway Avenue.

The driver of the other vehicle was Linda Hines, 24, 1045 Buckeye Ave. Hines’s passenger, Emma Lopez, 6, 1045 Buckeye Ave., was transported to Wilson Hospital with possible injuries.

• Kenneth Martin, 53, 123 W. Clay St., backed into another vehicle while stopped at a red light to avoid a collision with a school bus that was turning in front of him on Friday at 7:35 a.m.

Martin was stopped southbound at a red light on Brooklyn Avenue when a school bus that was turning left onto Brooklyn Avenue from state Route 29 was too close to Martin’s vehicle. Martin backed up avoid an accident.

The driver of the vehicle stopped behind Martin was Mark McClain, 72, 1148 Hilltop Ave. No one was cited for the accident.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-7:44 to 9:41 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to two calls.

MONDAY

-12:44 to 9:49 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to four calls.

SUNDAY

-10:33 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to the 600 block of North Stolle Avenue on a fire alarm.

-7:32 to 8:01 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to two calls.

-7:32 p.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to the 600 block of North Stolle Avenue on a fire alarm..

-6:18 p.m.: assistance. Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Mercury Court for assistance.

-4:28 to 5:50 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.

-3:07 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were dispatched to the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue on an open burn complaint.

-11:28 a.m.: mutual aid. Firefighters were dispatched to 320 N. Miami Ave. to assist the Police Department.

-11:24 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to a call.

-10:53 a.m.: medical. Medics were dispatched to Anna to assist mutual medical aid.
