FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie ran into the 10th-ranked Division 1 team in Ohio Thursday, and lost 10-0 to visiting Wapakoneta in non-league action.

Loramie is now 11-9 and Wapak 17-1.

The host Lady Redskins were limited to just three singles by Wapak pitcher Short.

Houston 12, Anna 6

ANNA — Houston beat Anna for the second time in three days Thursday, 12-6 in County softball.

Houston goes to 14-6 on the year and Anna falls to 7-12.

Houston sprayed 18 hits around the diamond at Anna, with Sarah Monnier leading the way with five singles.

Micalah Hensley and Kaytlyn Riffell both had three hits with a double, Grace Riffel had a single and a home run, and Kayla New and Rebekah New were both 2 for 4. Macey Stang also had a double.

For Anna, Macey and Paige Richard, as well as Olivia Place, had two hits apiece and Riley Osborn had a double.

Russia 10, JC 0

RUSSIA — The Russia Raiders led just 3-0 after three and a half innings, but plated nine runs in the fourth to run-rule Jackson Center 10-0.

For Russia, Lexi Monnin, Claudia Counts and Maria Herron had two hits apiece, and one of Herron’s was a double.

Sidney 7, Xenia 0

XENIA — The Sidney girls traveled to Xenia on Wednesday and shut out the Lady Buccs, 7-0, behind the three-hit pitching of Grace Shell.

Sidney got two his apiece from Shell and Summer Inman, and Shell also drove in three of the runs.

She struck out three in working all seven innings.
