MINSTER — Minster Oktoberfest Parade is now accepting nominations for 2016 Grand Marshall. The deadline for nominations is July 1, 2016. Please send a letter stating reasons you feel this person or organization deserves this title. Mail entries to Minster Oktoberfest Parade, PO Box 29, Minster, Ohio, 45865.
Eligibility requirements:
• Must be a resident (current or past) of the Minster School District.
• Must have benefited the residents of the Minster Community.
• Volunteer work, not normal job/duties: Can not have received money or benefits for the work; The volunteer has to have done more than just be associated with the project; If volunteer work was associated with his/her job it had to be significantly over and above the call of duty.
• Only applications that have been received this year will be considered.
The 2016 Minster Oktoberfest Parade Theme is “Willkommen Freunde”
The Minster Oktoberfest Parade Chairpersons would like to remind individuals, organizations, businesses that all floats judged under Junior Civic, Senior Civic, Commercial, are eligible for ”Best of Theme”. Two monetary places will be awarded, $300 and $200.
The Minster Oktoberfest Parade is in need of mopeds, scooters, golf carts, ATVs , etc. to help get workers up and down the staging area the day of the parade. Please contact the Minster Oktoberfest Parade if you are able to help out.
