NORTH STAR — Kathleen and Timothy DeLand, of North Star, have announced the birth of a daughter, Claire Kathleen DeLand, born May 25, 2016, at 3:27 a.m., in the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

She weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her brothers, Sam, 8, and Charlie, 4, and her sisters, Maggie, 6, and Libby, 2.

Her maternal grandparents are Betty and Kent Davis, of North Star. Her paternal grandparents are Theresa and Glenn “Bud” DeLand, of Sidney.

Her mother is the former Kathleen Davis.
