ST. MARYS — Troopers are looking for the driver of a dark-colored pickup truck who ran over and killed a 14-year-old St. Marys girl walking down the road Wednesday evening.

The girl, whose name was not released, was walking in the eastbound lane on county Road 33A near Barrington Road at 10:41 p.m. when she was struck by the pickup, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

The pickup continued without stopping. The girl was taken to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital where she died from her injuries, the patrol reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
