HOUSTON — Mary Ann and Raymond DeLoye, of Houston, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary, June 19, 2016, at a 9:30 a.m. Mass in the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Newport and with family at home.

Raymond and the former Mary Ann Heckman were married on Mary Ann’s birthday, June 13, 1951, in the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood. The Rev. Jacob Volk performed the ceremony. The bride’s sister, Delores (Heckman) Homan, gave a speech for the newlyweds. Witnesses were Ruth (Heckman) Simon and Jeanette (Heckman) Eilerman, sisters of the bride, Robert DeLoye, brother of the bridegroom, Marcellus Hoying, cousin of the bride, and ushers Cletus Hoying, cousin of the bride, and Cletus Grilliot. The couple had met May 8, 1946, at the wedding of the bridegroom’s sister, Amelia.

Raymond is the son of the late Gertrude (Eilerman) and Henry DeLoye. He has a living sister-in-law, Rosalie DeLoye, of Yorkshire. A sister and brother-in-law, Amelia and Norbert Heckman, and a brother, Robert DeLoye, are deceased.

Mary Ann is the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Rethman) and Andrew Heckman. She has two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Irene Heckman, of Texas, and Richard and Esther Heckman, of Versailles, and three sisters and a living brother-in-law, Ruth Simon, of Piqua, Jeanette and Albin Eilerman, of Sidney, and Delores Homan, of Coldwater. Two brothers-in-law, Bernard Simon, and Gerald Homan, are deceased.

The DeLoyes have three sons and two daughters-in-law, Allan and Nancy DeLoye, of Reynoldsburg, Ron and Pam DeLoye, of Russia, and Tim DeLoye, of Sidney, and two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan and Ray Ayearst, of Monticello, Kentucky, and Laura DeLoye, of Morro Bay, California. They have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann retired as a childcare provider. Raymond retired from Norcold.

The couple attend the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Newport. They enjoy gardening and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
