MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — Erika and Andrew Topp, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, have announced the birth of a son, August Michael Topp, born May 31, 2016, at 1:35 p.m., in the East Cooper Medical Center in Mount Pleasant.

He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 20 1/2 inches long.

He was welcomed home by his sister, Cora Lynn, 1.

His maternal grandparents are Jenny and Gregg Schmitmeyer, of New Bremen. His paternal grandparents are Sheree and Gary Topp, of New Bremen.

His great-grandparents are Emma Jane Schrolucke, of St. Marys, and Ermie and Walt Schmitmeyer, Ruth Topp and Elsie Ahlers, all of New Bremen.

His mother is the former Erika Schmitmeyer, of New Bremen.
