SIDNEY — A man operating a excavator in the 400 block of West North Street was injured Saturday around 5 p.m. when the piece of machinery fell and landed on his foot.

Sidney firefighters freed the man from the machinery. The accident took place along the railroad tracks near his property.

He was then transported to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, by CareFlight.

No other information was available Sunday afternoon.
